Beck Paschoal
Born and raised in Oceanside, California, Beck Paschoal's life is a
vibrant testament to creativity and a deep connection to the
natural world. Her artistic journey began early, nurtured by the
diverse landscapes of Southern California – from the Pacific coast
to the desert and mountains. This immersion fostered a profound
appreciation for the beauty and dynamism of the world, a
cornerstone of her artistic vision. After college in Northern
California, Beck moved to the Big Island of Hawaii, where her
artistic voice began to truly flourish. Her early work,
characterized by bold colors and expressive brushstrokes,
reflected the vibrant energy of island life.
In 2001, Beck and her husband Matt moved to Maui, where they
raised three sons who continue to be a constant source of
inspiration and joy. Today, her artistic style has evolved into a
more impressionistic approach, characterized by rich layers of
color and a textural quality that gives her paintings a sculptural
feel. Embracing a free-spirited approach, she utilizes a variety of
tools, including her hands and palette knives, to create unique and
dynamic works.
Beyond painting, Beck finds inspiration in the beauty of everyday
life – from paddleboarding and gardening to fusing glass and
writing poetry. Her art celebrates the power of love and
connection, encouraging viewers to slow down, appreciate the
present moment, and embark on their own personal adventures.
Beck Paschoal's works are internationally collected. She has
partnered with the prestigious Oceanside Museum of Art and her
work can be found at Enchantress and Freeborne Gallery at The
Shops at Wailea in Maui, and other high-end galleries in Waikiki,
Oahu, as well as Sedona, Arizona. She continues to push the
boundaries of her artistic practice with large-scale murals and
innovative materials.
